COACHING
FOR LEADERS

At every stage of the development of your family business your leaders are instrumental to its success.

I work with CEOs, MDs, and Directors of family businesses to provide an unbiased, open and honest coaching or mentoring relationship to meet their specific needs and challenges and become a ‘sounding board’ that they know they can trust and rely upon.

Impact of Coaching for Leaders

The pressure and expectations felt by leaders in family business can be considerable. I work with leaders who are passionate about their business to help them overcome challenges and seize opportunities by:

  • Ensuring that passion for the business doesn’t tip into ‘burnout’

  • Tackling Imposter Syndrome

  • Reducing overwhelm and managing priorities

  • Helping them to connect and communicate with all of their people

  • Enabling clarity around decision making

  • Helping them to maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life

  • Helping them to face and manage family tensions

  • Helping them to become the living examples of their values and culture

  • Helping them to achieve a positive impact for themselves and everyone around them

When it comes to any coaching or mentoring relationship you can be assured that I will work alongside you by living my values of:

CONNECTION

Building an open, honest and confidential relationship built on trust and experience.

 COLLABORATION

We will collaborate together to explore what you would like to achieve.

 COMPASSION

We may have to tackle some difficult issues but you be assured that you will always be treated with compassion and respect.

 ADDING VALUE

I will never take on a coaching or mentoring relationship unless I feel I can add real value to your development as a leader.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • In almost all cases, all client facing work is undertaken by me personally. The only exception to that could be very specific learning workshops which I may decide are better delivered by one of my colleagues.

  • That’s absolutely fine. I don’t want you to commit to anything until you are sure either. All projects begin with a no-obligation exploratory first meeting when we can get to know one another a bit better, explore your needs and decide whether we want to take it further.

  • Once we have fully explored your needs and we are both clear on what you want to achieve from any project we might work on together, you will receive a detailed proposal with full cost details. You can then decide whether you want to proceed or not and then we will enter into a formal agreement.

  • That’s absolutely fine. Some of my longest client relationships have started with a short initial audit of their current culture/values/situation etc. We can then decide from there whether we both think there is value in moving forward to a larger project.

  • Mainly yes. I have always been drawn to family businesses after I experienced personally first hand the difference that a strong family business culture can make to both the individuals working within the business and the external customer experience.
