I’m Beverley Mitchell

The Founder of Beverley Mitchell Consulting. I have over 30 years’ experience working with family businesses and corporate organisations, both in the UK and globally. I have experienced first-hand the positive impact on people and results of family business leaders with self-confidence, strong communication skills, clarity, a sense of purpose, approachability, and authenticity. When you combine this with strong and relevant business values with a culture to match then you have the perfect environment for family business success. Based on extensive experience over many years we specialise in working with family businesses on coaching and mentoring leaders, the development and successful implementation of company values and culture and the ongoing development of employee engagement.

Coaching for Leaders

The leaders of your family business set the example in terms of your values, culture, and behaviours, but to be successful it’s vital that they invest in their own ongoing growth and development. I act as a trusted and confidential sounding board to CEOs, MDs, and Directors of family businesses, offering an unbiased perspective, asking powerful questions, actively listening, challenging when needed, and utilising years of experience of working with senior leaders to coach or mentor leaders to overcome challenges and maximise their strengths so that they can become the leaders who will take your business into the future.

There is a direct link between a business’s culture and the levels of engagement amongst its employees and there is a well-proven link between high engagement levels and profitable and successful businesses. We work collaboratively with family business leaders and HR to focus on areas where engagement needs to improve. By building trust and directly involving the employees we identify the main drivers of low engagement and provide clear and actionable plans to deliver improvement.

Providing learning opportunities is a key enabler when re-shaping a culture and increasing levels of engagement, especially in times when the business strategy is changing, and you need to bring your people with you on that change journey.  When we identify that a learning solution is required, we will work with you to develop and implement interactive workshops that reinforce and embed the new strategy, drive engagement and successfully implement the change.
